MISSION IMPOSSIBLE ACCOMPLISHED
I cannot begin to express the amount of stress we have all been through at Herbal Healer since Christmas. It started with a severe snow storm and we had to go on generator power. Then came the ice. Since we are over three miles from the blacktop and located in the mountains, this made it almost impossible to keep the business open, but we did. Three weeks we could get no UPS truck in to pick up packages, Stephen literally risked his life daily, driving his 4-Wheel drive with chains on sheer mountain ice to get the packages on the truck. One day the wind chill was 20 degrees below zero and Stephen and Jimmy had to bring in Herbal Healer supplies & products which totaled over 120 boxes from the UPS truck with multiple trips! The only way to get safely from one building to another, and folks this was weeks, was by wearing a pair of baseball spike shoes and we only had one pair! Sondra got to use those as she had to carry Jesse Jade, the baby. Most of the staff could not make it in to work. McCain, Stephen, Jeff & Sondra McCain , Joey, his wife Heather, Jimmy and his wife Crystal were all that could manage to get here as we all live within walking (sliding) distance. We worked everyday until it was done, sometimes leaving very late at night. When we were done, we had to go to our homes and face frozen water pipes, tending to the animals, cutting and hauling in the firewood, etc. We did have one brave employee, Andrea from packing, who finally was able to make it in with her father driving a Jeep with chains.To make matters more intense, sales skyrocketed and we had twice as much business those weeks, making the work load much heavier. The reason I am telling you this is so you understand that you are dealing with a company that not only goes the extra mile for their members, but somehow does the impossible. What Herbal Healer did in the month of January 2001, with the core family A-Team, as we call ourselves, was truly a miracle.
P.S. Many people criticized us for our Y2K call to prepare; but if it wasn't for our Y2K preps, like the generators, storage fuel, extra food, extra products, etc. this would never have been possible.
With the uncertain times ahead you should all make sure you have alternative back-up plans in place. Look at the crisis in California right now. A simple home generator would really help these folks out but most don't own one. Back-up Storage food and stored water is essential. The uncertain severe weather, slowing US economics, massive layoffs and escalating possible global conflict conditions all should sound your alarm buttons. Learn to look after yourselves, and be working towards self sufficiency as you may not be able to depend on many of the current systems now in place. If you can still move to the country, that would be our number one recommendation! Make the changes now, as your window of time is running out. And for goodness sake, I expect all of you Herbal Healer Academy Members to know how to look after your families using natural medicine. This will be priceless knowledge to have, just make real sure you have enough supplies on hand!
