Well I know I am preaching to the choir to many of you, but this makes me so mad. Last month there was an article released from Britain showing that cancer can be reduced by 50% with the addition of a very inexpensive supplement. It is Vitamin D! Now, two things. The article is no longer available publicly unless you pay for it, and secondly, the very same day this article came out in Britain, the United States press plasters a warning about Vitamin D and how is can be harmful if too much is taken scarig people away from Vitamin D, in my opinion! Folks, we are talking about a 50% reduction in cancer if used as a preventaive in a 40 year study! I am going to reprint a part of it again here for those that missed it. The evidence for the protective effect of the "sunshine vitamin" is so overwhelming that urgent action must be taken by public health authorities to boost blood levels, say cancer specialists. Ok, I am not done! Then we have the letter
that was sent out to all the health food stores and people in the alternative
supplemental industry warning us all not to mention anything that could
be used to help the Bird Flu. Now the press has been loaded with
article after article of how bad this epidemic might get, if and when
the bird flu crosses over to humans. I am sure you have seen them.

FLU: H5N1 SAME VIRUS AS SPANISH FLU (50 MLN DEATHS)(AGI) - Rome, Jan. 9 - Spanish flu, which in 1918 killed 50 million people, was caused by a bird flu virus, which evolved and passed from birds to humans. Today's H5N1 is a variant of the same virus and "is the worst ever seen and the most likely candidate to cause the next pandemic", declared in an interview published by "Le Scienze", the virologist, R. G. Webster, who is the biggest world expert in flu epidemics. A bird flu virus, H2N2 causing Asian flu in 1957, and H3N2 causing Hong Kong flu 1968 (both with 1 - 4 million deaths) and again H1N1 in Russia in 1977: in all these cases the virus spread among animals and then transmuted and was spread from man to man. The current virus has not yet spread man to man, but the WHO fears that it could mutate from one moment to the next. H5N1 is fatal for bird in 100 pct of cases, in just 48 hours. It has also hit other mammals, even tigers and leopards and then has spread among man in China, Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, Indonesia and is showing worrying signs in Turkey. The World Health Organization (WHO) has already sent a "pandemic alert" to all governments worldwide a few months back, which indicated what to do to prepare for a pandemic.
The US has said it will stock pile vaccines.
Well first of all they have not even found a successful vaccine at this
point. Trials in Australia - Australia's Bird Flu vaccine trial
has produced immune protection in only a small minority of the 400 volunteers.

Currently no vaccine is available to protect humans against the H5N1 virus that is being seen in Asia. However, vaccine development efforts are under way. Research studies to test a vaccine to protect humans against H5N1 virus began in April 2005. (Researchers are also working on a vaccine against H9N2, another bird flu virus subtype.)

Last week, Retroscreen Virology, a leading
British medical research institute associated to Queen Mary College, University
of London, announced that Sambucol was at least 99% effective against
the avian flu virus, H5N1, and in cell cultures significantly neutralized

During Mumcuoglu's research she discovered
the key active ingredient in elderberry and when she tested it against
the flu virus, she found it effective. On her arrival in Israel, Mumcuoglu
joined the Hebrew University Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem, and
continued her research. The result was Sambucol, a patented natural formula
which contains a potent antiviral compound, AntiVirin, isolated from the
black elderberry, and three flavonoids - naturally occurring plant antioxidants.
In 1992, Mumcuoglu decided to commercialize her elderberry supplement,
and founded Razei Bar Industries to do so. Mumcuoglu, who is president
of Razei Bar, first tested her research on patients in the Southern Israel
flu epidemic of 1992/3. The results were extremely encouraging. Within
24 hours, 20% of those patients taking Sambucol had dramatic improvements
in symptoms like fever, muscle aches and pains and coughing. By the second
day, 73% were improved and by day three, 90%. In the untreated group,
only 16% felt better after two days. The majority of that group took almost

What the hell is going on? People this is alarming.
