Take a few moments to read about MSM Sulphur!
MSM stands for methylsulfonylmethane. MSM is an organic sulfur compound that exists to some extent in all living things. MSM is a basic nutrient required for the proper functioning of the body. Most people are deficient in this nutrient.
Sulphur is responsible for the ionic exchange within the sodium-potassium pump in the cell. Sulphur is needed to maintain cell membrane permeability. This is important to ensure that nutrients are delivered into the cell and toxins and other waste products can exit. A lack of sulphur prevents the transport of free radicals, chemicals and foreign particles out of the cells, which, if not excreted, can lead to many allergic reactions such as Asthma, ear nose and throat infections, hay fever, headaches, fatigue and gastrointestinal problems.
Sulphur is a component of insulin, the very important hormone that regulates the uptake of glucose by cells for use as energy. A lack of sulphur can result in low insulin production or cell resistance to insulin which in turn brings about excess blood sugar leading to diabetes. Sulphur is also needed for thiamine and biotin which are also needed for normal carbohydrate metabolism. Sulphur plays a part in tissue respiration, the process whereby oxygen is used to build new cells. A lack of sulphur can lead to replaced cells being dysfunctional and causing serious health related problems. Sulphur will help the immune system inhibit chemical carcinogens.
Sulphur is a required structural mineral found in the proteins of most tissues in the body such as the skin, blood vessels, organs, hair and nails. Sulphur makes up the flexible disulphide bonds within protein structure in tissues providing elasticity and movement. Sulphur is also necessary for healing and repair of these tissues from internal injury and free radical damage. MSM contributes to the production of ground substance (muccopolysaccharides) which keeps connective tissue intact. Researchers claim that MSM can help improve joint flexibility, reduce stiffness, swelling and pain, improve circulation and break up calcium deposits or water bonds in the synovial fluid.

Dear Doctor McCain, "I wanted to let you and other Herbal Healer Academy
members know of another wonderful use for MSM sulfur. Here's an added benefit
taking your MSM Sulfur Powder! Sulfur has been used for generations to repel
ticks and chiggers (possibly other biting insects, like mosquitoes, as well).
They may land on you, but absolutely no biting. There are about 300 different
types of ticks in the United States. Some are smaller than the typed period
in this e-mail and nearly clear. So 'checking yourself' and removing a tick
by hand is simply not sufficient. Deer Ticks are getting the most attention

Here's our personal routine: Very early spring we begin with about 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon of sulfur a day for about 10 days - 2 weeks. (You can use the capsules by the way!) Please adjust the dose for small children, just a pinch may be all that is needed. Then we take the same dose every other day for about 10 days - 2 weeks. The rest of the 'tick season' we may take sulfur once a week. Add it to food as you suggest. We sprinkle the MSM Powder on our pets' food. We breed Endangered and American Heritage poultry, they are raised naturally and all our breeds get a little sulfur powder sprinkled on the grains we offer them. Then they gobble up all the ticks they find in the yard.

Most health conscious people know how important calcium is to the human
body in protecting against a myriad of diseases and deficiencies, especially
osteoporosis. Along with playing an essential role in the formation of bones
and teeth, calcium is intimately involved with many other vital body functions.
It is integral to the transmission of nerve messages, the proper function
of muscles including the heart, the activation of certain enzymes for digestion,
the nourishment of cells, and the release of energy.
A debate has raged for decades among nutritional experts as to which form of calcium is better absorbed by the human body. Now, a recent double-blind study conducted by the Southwestern Medical Center at the University of Texas has confirmed that calcium citrate has an absorption rate 2.5 faster than calcium carbonate tablets. (not liquid)
The blood uses calcium for so many functions that if there is a dietary deficiency of calcium, and therefore a decreased amount of calcium in the bloodstream, the body pulls the calcium it needs from the bones. This, in addition to the natural mineral loss, causes the bones to weaken and be dangerously susceptible to fractures, a serious condition termed osteoporosis. Other symptoms of calcium deficiency are muscle cramps, nervousness, increased cholesterol levels, insomnia, and numbness in the legs.
In 1994, the National Institute of Health reported that Recommended Daily Allowance, 800 mg, for calcium is too low, and that half of American adults are not getting enough calcium on a daily basis. They (NIH) recommend a dosage between 1,000 and 1,500 mg daily. Calcium expert Robert Heaney, M.D., of Creighton University believes that women need 1,500 mg of calcium a day-almost double the RDA. The average American diet fails to provide half of that amount.
In a recent study at the University of Southern California School of Medicine, calcium was also found to help prevent hypertension, a serious risk factor for heart disease. A daily diet including 900 to 1,000 mg of calcium lowered hypertension risk by 12 percent. In research conducted at Mt. Sinai Medical Center, 1,000 mg a day has helped ease PMS symptoms (i.e. mood swings, water retention, cramps).
According to 'The Doctor's Vitamin and Mineral Encyclopedia' (Simon & Schuster, 1990) by Sheldon Hendler, M.D., Ph.D., calcium in the form of calcium citrate does not require stomach hydrochloric acid for absorption. This means that it is more readily absorbed and utilized by the body and can also be taken on an empty stomach. Calcium citrate never leads to the formation of calcium kidney stones. Another unique advantage that comes with taking calcium citrate is that unlike other forms of calcium, it never blocks iron absorption.
