We could be in for some rough times ahead. You simply have to read the news. I am talking about higher prices in food, possible problems in your areas due to extreme weather conditions, outbreaks of various 'bugs', etc. This summer is tough already. Fires and droughts in Texas are estimated at 1.2 billion in losses, Florida's been on fire, Mexico had devastating fires, Brazil has had devastating drought and the farmers are rioting and so on. This means the crops are not going to be available. This translates to higher prices and possible shortages. Last week, mainstream news announced that butter and ice-cream were going through the roof. Expect $4.00 pound for butter. Butter yesterday was $3.29 per pound in Mt. View. 100% increase in 18 months. Also, I purchase Shelton's organically grown chicken. I just about fainted when the price soared to $72.00 in June for 10 pounds. That's $7.20 per pound for chicken! It used to be about $3.50! Many of the coffee crops have been wiped out this year as well as a great deal of the wheat crops up north. That was due to some type of blight. Not to mention the freak storms that can leave you without power. They have been hitting all over, but especially in the northern states, causing all kinds of problems. I have been tracking global earthquake activity and it is on the increase. So are the activities of volcanoes. Mt. Etna is becoming active, Mexico, Guatemala, Monseratt as well as a little activity recently in U.S. at Mt. St. Helens.
I heard the Hopi Elder speak a week or so ago, this is an unprecedented event as the Hopi's never have spoken publicly about the coming problems.
