Scientists have announced they have decoded 3.1 billion sub units of Human DNA. They now claim they have the instruction books not only for human life, but for many other forms of life as well. This heralds a new era in genetic allopathic chemical medicine. These new drugs will supposedly be able to target specific genetic flaws and be able to alter the DNA. "More immediately, genetic data will be used as a diagnostic tool. A decade or so from now, patients may go to the doctor with a "DNA chip," a credit-card-sized piece of plastic that will contain their genetic background, disclosing conditions to which they may be vulnerable". "Fears have been expressed that screening techniques or engineering will create "designer" children for the rich or eliminate characteristics perceived as deviating from the norm, such as homosexuality. And there are also many unresolved ethical questions, such as to whether someone has the right to patent something that occurs in the human body, and whether employers or health-insurance companies should have the right to one's genetic data".

Would you take prescription drugs if you knew they were going to alter your genetic code?
	No, I would never take them. I believe my Genetic Code should not be altered.
	Yes, I would, I have no problem with them, I think they are a great idea.
	Yes, I would, but only if I had a life threatening or debilitating ailment, and had tried all other avenues would I be willing take them and alter my genetic code.
